Standing dramatically off the west coast of Ireland this alluring shard of rock off the Kerry coastline was once a sanctuary for early Christian monks in an effort to get closer to God. These hermit priests lived torturous lives living in confined beehive huts on the cliffs face. Whilst the rest of Europe was entering the Dark Ages, Christianity clung to cliff faces of these unique islands. Without doubt one of Irelands most spectacular locations.
